Modal is a man-made regenerated cellulose fibre. It is obtained from beech wood and has natural properties such as a beautiful drape, a silky sheen and an excellent ability to absorb colour. It is often described as an improved viscose.
Modal fibre offers:
- A soft touch with a “second skin” feel.
- 50% more moisture absorption than cotton, and faster.
- A lustrous effect, thanks to its smooth surface.
- Fast, deep and permanent dye uptake.
